Giménez made his full international debut for Mexico in 2021; he represented the country at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup, scoring the winning goal in the final, and would win the tournament for a second time in 2025.
He also won the 2025 edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, and finished as runner-up in 2024.
Giménez started his career with Liga MX club Cruz Azul for four seasons winning various competitions, among them the league title and the Copa MX, before a transfer to Feyenoord in July 2022.
