In November 2025, on his 90th cap, Robertson captained his country to a first FIFA World Cup since 1998 in a famous 4–2 victory against Denmark.
He has since won a second EFL Cup (2024) and Premier League title (2025) with Liverpool.
He was appointed Scotland captain in September 2018, and has led his country at UEFA Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
His honours with Liverpool include the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League, the 2019–20 Premier League, the 2019 UEFA Super Cup, the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup and a 2021–22 season EFL Cup and FA Cup domestic double.
He was again named in their Champions League Team of the Season for the 2021–22 season.
UEFA also named him in both their Champions League Squad of the Season and their fans' Team of the Year in 2019.
His first UEFA individual award was inclusion in their 2018 Champions League breakthrough team.
He was named PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year and in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, before joining Premier League side Hull City in July 2014 for a fee of £2.85 million.
In his season at Dundee United, he was runner up in the 2013–14 Scottish Cup.
